Coin Master Merge Island Event Guide
Merge Island is a limited-time Coin Master mini-game built around a simple loop: generate items with Sparks, combine identical pieces, create higher-level items, and turn that progress into milestone or board rewards. The merging is easy to understand, but board space and collection timing make a large difference.

How Merge Island works
The event gives you a separate board filled with item chains. Two items must match in both type and level before they can be combined. Drag one onto the other and the pair becomes the next item in that chain. Repeating this process produces stronger items, advances event progress, and can reveal collectible rewards.
The important choice is not simply whether two pieces can merge. You also need to decide which chain deserves space, whether an item should be collected now, and whether spending more Sparks is useful while the board is crowded.
- 1Spend Sparks
Use the Producer to place a new event item on the board.
- 2Match two items
Drag identical items of the same level together.
- 3Build a stronger item
Continue the chain while protecting enough open board space.
- 4Collect or keep merging
Use the item information and event goals to decide when to claim.

Sparks and the Producer
Sparks are the event-only currency used by the Producer. Tapping the Producer spends Sparks and places a new event item on the board. Sparks can come from other active game events and promotional rewards, so your available amount may depend on what is running elsewhere in Coin Master.
Before producing several items in a row, count your open spaces and look for merges already waiting on the board. Generating first and organizing later can leave useful pairs separated by low-level pieces. A cleaner board makes new items easier to place and reduces dependence on the overflow Stack.
What the Sparks Multiplier changes
The Multiplier control appears next to the Producer. A higher setting spends more Sparks per production action and offers a chance to reach higher-level items sooner. It should be viewed as a speed option, not as a guarantee that every tap produces the exact item you need.
Additional multiplier settings are tied to event progress rather than the number of items in your inventory. The official explanation uses x2 at progress level 8 and x4 at level 10 as examples. Event tuning may change, so use the options visible in your own game as the final source.

| Situation | Practical choice | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Board has little space | Merge and organize first | More production can create avoidable overflow. |
| You need basic pieces for several chains | Use the normal setting | Lower Spark cost gives you more individual production actions. |
| Board is clear and time is short | Consider an unlocked multiplier | Faster access to stronger items may be worth the higher cost. |
Main progress and the extra Merge Bar
Merge Island can track more than one type of progress. Normal merging fills the main progress area and moves you toward milestone rewards and the larger event prize. A secondary Merge Bar can run independently and asks for a particular collectible item.
When you have the item shown for the secondary bar, double-tap it to turn it into points. Higher-level versions award more points, which creates a decision: cash in a lower item now, or merge matching copies first and submit a stronger version. Check remaining time and board pressure before waiting too long.
What happens when the board is full?
If a merge creates a new piece while no board space is available, the item can move into the Stack instead of disappearing. The Stack icon is shown in the lower-right area of the event screen only while items are waiting. Its number tells you how many pieces are being held off-board.
- Clear at least one usable space by merging or collecting an item.
- Open the Stack from its icon on the Merge Island screen.
- Return a waiting item to the board.
- Repeat after creating more space if the board fills again.
Stack order matters: the most recently earned waiting item comes back first. That means the Stack is not a normal inventory where you freely choose any stored piece. Avoid treating it as unlimited organization space.
Items awarded by another event or promotion may also enter the Stack while Merge Island is active. If Merge Island is not active, those items may be converted into a different reward instead. Items still waiting when the event finishes are converted automatically.
Use the item information before collecting
Tapping a board item opens its information panel. Use this view to check what the piece can become, whether it contains a reward, and whether it has already reached its maximum level. If the panel offers a separate information control, it can reveal the wider reward chain.
This is the safest way to answer the event's main strategic question: should you collect the current reward, or hold it until a matching item allows another merge? A maximum-level message means the item cannot move farther up its chain, so continuing to save it only makes sense if you still need it for another visible event goal.
Merging and collecting reward items
Some merge results produce a reward item, including items that can award Spins. Two reward items can merge only when their reward type and level match. The new version holds a larger reward, and the chain can continue until its maximum level.
Maximum reward items use a special visual effect in the game. To collect one, double-tap it: the first interaction shows the amount, and the next confirms collection into the reward bag. Looking before confirming helps prevent an accidental collection when you intended to continue merging.
A simple board-management strategy
- Merge obvious pairs before spending a new batch of Sparks.
- Keep pieces from the same chain near each other where possible.
- Check the information panel before collecting an unfamiliar item.
- Protect a few empty spaces before using a higher multiplier.
- Prioritize items requested by the secondary Merge Bar.
- Do not leave valuable decisions until the final minutes of the event.
There is no single perfect board because item drops and event goals can differ. A useful rule is to value flexibility: open spaces give you more options, while a full board forces you to resolve whatever the Stack returns first.
What happens when Merge Island ends?
The event page includes a countdown timer. Before it reaches zero, review uncollected reward items, the secondary Merge Bar, and pieces waiting in the Stack. Do not assume the board will remain available after the timer ends.
Coin Master states that unused Sparks are automatically converted into Spins. Items left in the Stack are also converted into rewards. Because conversion rules and event values can be tuned, the in-game end screen is the final confirmation of what your account receives.

Merge Island FAQ
What is Merge Island in Coin Master?
Merge Island is a limited-time event board where players use Sparks to generate items, combine matching items into higher levels, and earn rewards through milestones and collectible reward chains.
How do I get more items on the Merge Island board?
Tap the Producer and spend Sparks. The item you receive can then be matched with an identical item of the same level.
What happens when the Merge Island board is full?
A newly created item that cannot fit may move to the Stack. After clearing board space, use the Stack icon to return waiting items, with the most recently earned item returning first.
What happens to unused Sparks when the event ends?
According to Coin Master's official guide, remaining Sparks are automatically converted into Spins when the event finishes.
Should I collect a reward item immediately?
Not always. Check its information and remaining event time first. Two identical reward items can sometimes be merged into a higher-level reward, but waiting also uses valuable board space.
